My attitude is too positive to agree with you.
I do not believe that the new boss has to be the same as the old boss.
We sometimes make enormous steps backwards, see Trump c.s., but in general, looking over decades and centuries, the trend is positive.
Mamdani in New York seems to be a good example of that a new boss can be different from the old boss, and, to my surprise, Hungary seems to be as well.

@paulschoe@mastodon.world @HeavenlyPossum@kolektiva.social Actually I think Trump was a huge step forward. Wouldn't have voted for him myself, mind, but just look at the shit show as it stands. In the long run, he's the essentially the last nail in the coffin of the Republican party and their shenanigans.
