In the LLM era, it's vital: one team extracts abstract specs from protected data, while a second "clean" team builds the model without ever touching copyrighted material. @nixCraft@mastodon.social Agreed. By using an LLM, especially for commercial software, you are setting yourself up for patent lawsuits. Everything an LLM spits out is, at best, a remix of others' work.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social if i remember correctly the biggest problems of new LLMs is that they use the "dirty" old information of previous LLMs like errors und misinformation. Since this wrong data is now part of the internet, some errors will never been fixed. Something like this
