@straybun@social.lol I like the idea overall. But there’s something about asking people to explicitly label things as human-made, in a social space entirely comprised of humans, where the majority of people are only ever posting their own human-made words and thoughts, that I find a little depressing. People are still the default here. People are still the first-class citizens online. And because of this, I don’t think anyone should have to show papers or affirm an oath whenever they share a creative work with one another here.

@neatnik@social.lol I agree that it's kind of depressing of having to state that something is human made and not AI made. I was trying to meet you halfway, honestly. As I also remember one suggestion which you expressed a positive sentiment towards (https://social.lol/@neatnik/117004196542385457), that was labelling things as "handcrafted work" which I interpreted as being the same as human made instead of AI made. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I found that to be particularly depressing, as you just said here, as labeling things as human made instead of AI made would almost give an appearence of genAI content being the default here. If I understood correctly. But because you liked this suggestion, I figured that having all three could be a good compromise. Hence the idea. Regardless of what I proposed, I think that this EU regulation could be a solid basis to work off of. :)
