"suggest that we use the form ‘((φ)÷(ψ))’" - and of course, you are suggesting using that with + and - as well, for the exact same reason (equal precedence). Good luck getting ANYONE to agree with you about writing 10 times as many brackets for simple calculations 😂
"the brackets leave no room for confusion" - the RULES OF MATHS already leave no room for confusion 🙄

@bemmesr@mathstodon.xyz P.S. the order of operations rules pre-date the use of brackets in Maths by centuries, hence why they're rock-solid and don't need any brackets
