do you remember that one time like 3 years ago when Technology Connections, a YouTuber who makes really good short but in-depth documentaries on ultra-specific tech topics in exchange for, drumroll, money to live and make more videos, got chased off of fedi by like 50+ tedious assholes because he doesn’t post his videos to peertube, a platform where he would not make the money he uses to live and make more videos

hey so, fuckheads with old accounts: maybe don’t take this opportunity to tone police the fucking guy maybe I don’t care if the guy fedi decided to eject for no reason was mean to you on his way out I remember exactly when the discourse stopped being about peertube and started being “he’s so mean how dare he” how weird, the previously nice guy got really mean after fedi spent a week stirring shit over how he’s not on peertube and then about how he’s not being nice what could this mean!
