@hardindr@mastodon.social Seems Uruguay has a "thing" about vintage cars, originally due to economic ups and downs leaving a large stock of old cars. But by now it's become enough of a tourist draw that they deliberately play it up. Especially in a tourist trap like Colonia. I saw many beautifully restored cars, often converted to electric drive.
