#LouisRossmann is right: It's not about physical copies but #DRM. For example I have couple of PC game DVDs which still require activation over the internet. So no benefits for having them on physical discs over digital installation files! On the other hand I have dozens of #GOG game installers stored in my HDD which can be installed on any PC with no internet required. And I can burn them to physical discs any time I want!
