@FoodieKenobi then the best deal in terms of bang for buck + freedom and usability will be a secondhand Lenovo t14 or similar. MacBook only good if you're willing to trade user freedom and some usability for "don't have to think about it" + long term higher cost if anything on it breaks. Display repair on a Mac, at minimum 700$. On Lenovo, at most 200 + your time (an hour)
