Pearl-spotted Owlet (Glaucidium perlatum), is a tiny African owl, barely 19-21 cm long, featuring false black "eyes" on the back of its head to trick predators. Active during the day (diurnal), it uses these fake eyes to appear as if it is always watching, even while feeding.
