The Eight-Spotted Crab Spider (Platythomisus octomaculatus) is a rare, vibrant arachnid native to Southeast Asia. There is great disparity in the sizes of female and male of this species with females growing to 1 inch while male to just 4mm, has seven big black dots on its back. The eighth spot is hidden under its belly. It walks like a crab, sideways. It hides on yellow flowers, like the yellow hibiscus.
