also, yet another rant about generative AI
yeah, I know it can help me immensely for my game projects, and I could just use it and be done with it
but I won't
it's going to take as much time as it needs, it might still take years, it's going to be hard, but I just want to do it the old-fashioned way

@Yuki@im-in.space tbh... What do you learn if you don't challenge yourself? What accomplishment is there in having everything at your fingertips in an instant? I honestly think AI doesn't have any value because it'll just prevent you from learning and enjoying the process IMO. Learning isn't easy. It's painful, it takes time, but you get out of it with more than you started. Best case with AI is: you learned nothing and you have a finished, probably fucked up and buggy project that you don't know how to fix.
