My bull and I had an incredible opera date last night, seeing the premiere of an afrofuturist opera called Lalovavi. Lush, funny, emotional, and poignant as the libretto was split between English and Tutnese, a secret language of enslaved Africans. I sincerely hope this masterpiece is picked up around the country.
