A couple years ago I had sort of a manic episode (actually I just joined the workforce and was working part time in the last semesters where I only had like three classes a week and had a sizable amount of free time) and started building and experimenting with arcade controls. It was a really enjoyable hobby and it stemmed of a desire of mine of owning an arcade stick, desire I've had since high school at the very least. Little of it remains today, save for an arcade controller which, despite its quite terrible finish, I'm rather proud of and it's still kind of my daily driver, even if since then I bought non working hori controllers and restored them and modded them. I think this is the year I'll be back. Some time ago bought a compressor on the cheap for actually achieving a sellable finish and a friend of mine comissioned me a project diva controller. I'm currently adding some finishing touches in the design before I laser cut it and assemble it, but if it turns out okay and the finish doesn't make me or my friend cringe then maybe I'll start building them semi-regularly and see if they sell. I actually have a codeberg repo with my designs, which also drink from another open source project whose name I don't remember. I should, because I need to add attribution in the repo. Will upload this too if any game rhythm fan is interested on building their own controller. #RetroGaming #Arcade #Controllers
