I was very sad to learn today of the passing of T. Denny Sanford, who “… provided significant gifts to the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) and Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota.” Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) bears his name.
