@zygoon@fosstodon.org I think it is meant to make the company look forward looking and worth investing in, rather than something that will actually happen.
Or possibly trick competitors into thinking this is a good idea: could be useful for a company selling space launch services.

@zygoon@fosstodon.org Also, people have tried the pirate data center idea before in international waters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HavenCo That business was far more feasible, but never built a successful business. One of the downsides of being outside of any country's jurisdiction is that you don't have the protection of any country.
