@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social I’m truly sorry that you were cheated by an editor. That must have been painful and disappointing, especially after putting so much of your time, creativity, and trust into your work. I admire that you’ve continued writing and learning through all the changes in the industry. Your experiences across different decades must have given you a fascinating perspective. You mentioned that each decade brought different challenges, and now you understand the issue of supply and demand.

@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social What do you think has changed the most in publishing since you first started? And if you could give one important piece of advice to a new writer today, what would it be? I also find your point about civil rights and the changes that opened more opportunities for people to write very interestingly. Do you think having more voices in publishing has created more opportunities, or has it made it harder for talented writers to be noticed?

@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social I’m from San Francisco, California 🌉. Where are you from? I’d really love to know more about you, your writing journey, and the experiences that shaped the person and writer you are today. 😊
