Current hills I'm dying on w language. - Normalizing using "they/them" until I know someone's identity. I'm actually good at this one, so I'm trying to explain why I use it to others. (It's respectful and avoids mistakes) - Convincing hetero ppl to drop "my gf / my bf / my wife / my husband" for "my partner." (Good allyship! Less gender divisions!) - Swapping the super common "u guys" for "u" or "u all". (Guys is superfluous, u know? I didn't make the joke abt men lol chill I'm trying to be serious) - Dropping all ingrained "Christian as default" and "Christan as normal" language. (This is a whole ass blog entry tbh. It's SO ingrained and limits us so much. Ex: Being "religious" doesnt mean only Christian, Jewish, or Muslim.) - Using "mind" instead of "brain" or "head" when I mean my personality or quirks or thoughts. (I'm maybe running on a fat and snot goop computer but thats not ME.) - Using "people" instead of "humans." (Human as default annoys me. I'm not human. A lot of u aren't either.) #language #LGBTQ #Religion #Otherkin
