In October 2012, Icelandic television station Stöð 2 accidentally aired an episode of Teletubbies with subtitle captions from HBO’s The Sopranos after the wrong subtitle file was loaded during the broadcast. Although screenshots of the mistake circulated in Iceland at the time, the incident remained relatively unknown internationally because the subtitles were in Icelandic.
