This is a long shot, but just in case: anyone have experience with AlloClae? It's a cosmetic filler which is very new on the market, introduced in 2024, so there's not a lot of actual accounts from actual patients out there. I'll spare you descriptions of how it's made, iykyk. My surgeon is proposing she could use it as an alternative to liposuction for an upcoming procedure, which would pretty substantially reduce some risks I have due to a clotting disorder (lipo is not a kind procedure when it comes to causing bleeding, which both risks the bleeding never stopping if I'm on my anti-coagulant, or forming clots too easily if I'm not on it). Reddit has a few stories from people who had horrible problems, and a few stories from people who had a really good experience. The internet is chock full of people trying to sell me surgery with AlloClae, and apparently it's popular because it can be applied in some cosmetic applications as a simple, no-general-anaesthesia outpatient procedure, and it tends to retain its volume in the short term. I don't really trust either source, because people get online to complain 100x or 1000x often more than they get online to say everything was cool, and the marketing messages are inherently untrustworthy. There are literally no long-term results to read up on. The risks seem to be comparable to any other fat grafting procedure, based on what little I can find. So, perhaps fedi can help. Do you have direct first-hand or second-hand experience with AlloClae? I'd love to hear what you think.
