There are people who are good at rage baiting. People who enjoy it. People who make money off of it. These circles in the Venn diagram don't necessary completely overlap. But when you see a bonehead take/article that really riles you up, they are all three. They are not true believers, they are monetizing looking like an idiot both by taking money from idiots they pander to but, more importantly, by taking money from companies buying eyeballs.
