@kibcol1049@mstdn.social in 2016 it was pokemon go that people couldn't see the point of, apart from "wasps" and "life".

@bencurthoys@mastodon.social @kibcol1049@mstdn.social Luckily, that question has been answered. Now we know that the point of pokemon go was to collect data for more accurate drone strikes, replacing human jobs and training AI in general. Splendid.
