@aurynn@cloudisland.nz doesn’t get much simpler than Multitrack DAW. I bought the whole thing (24 tracks, 24 bit 256khz) so it doesn’t show me the price, but I think there’s a low price version with full functionality on 8 audio tracks.
It’s basically a digital Studer A80 with a patch board and some FX. Audiobus native. Highly recommend.

@jeffzugale@mastodon.art @aurynn@cloudisland.nz for context, Multitrack DAW is NZ$10, with IAP (in app purchases) of NZ$20 and NZ$10 to add more tracks (16 more and 8 more respectively). But it doesn’t look like what I’d expect a (1990s style) tracker to look like. It seems like a more general DAW with audio recording and AUv3 plugins.
