When the world brings you a fact, and it collides with your worldview, you have these options of dealing with it: You change your worldview to accomodate the factYou ignore it while acknowledging that your worldview is in contradiction to the fact (only an option long-term if you think it doesn't affect your own life)You try to force the world to change or hide the fact for your own comfort (usually comes with violence against some groups of people)Lacking the power for the above, you complain about the fact and avoid thinking about it activelyYou pretend the fact isn't true (by lying about it) This is true regardless of where, nominally, you stand on the spectrum on the fuckass compass.
