I finally transitioned to Linux on my main PC. It's pretty great. I did it in a long, slow way so that I could learn and understand a lot. There is still a lot to learn, though. Specifically I went with Arch Linux. Folks said if you want to kearn it's the best. It has a reputation for being hard, but it's not. It's just really bare bones compared to other Linux distros. Very do-it-yourself. Since I did it myself I learned a lot.
