No, what I'm experiencing is closer to being a WW2 pilot.
And the sad reality is just like WW2 pilots I've already put in more contact with the forces of fascism than anyone really expects a Black person to survive.

I'm currently at about 33 police stops in SIX months. Philando Castile survive 48 in 13 years before being executed in front of his family.
