@Sheril@mastodon.social 🤩 The Queensland experiment is great, and the way they still keep an active eye on it may give it the crown. But there are older versions of this experiment made by Lord Kelvin in Glasgow University, although in most pitch is now so oxidized that it can't actually flow. Arguably the oldest functioning experiment is another Kelvin one: a giant diffusion column built into a room in 1870s..
