Senior-living facilities, already short-staffed, are being forced to terminate immigrant caregivers as more Americans live longer and need care. Immigrant workers are a large share of the direct-care workforce, and their loss destabilizes care for elderly residents. We depend on the workers the enforcement system renders vulnerable.
