When I was six, we had a costume festival at school. I somehow convinced my parents to let me go as a girl (I was AMAB). People kept asking, "Who are you?" and "Why aren't you wearing a costume?" I wasn't confused in the slightest. I was exactly who I wanted to be. It's funny how a tiny childhood memory can spend decades quietly explaining itself. 🌸 (I do have a photo of me that day.
