There’s a quote I’ve had tattooed at the top of the work/shop page for a while, from Martín Espada: “No change for the good ever happens without being imagined first, even if, at the moment we imagine this great change, it seems absolutely impossible.”

But imagination is a practice, and like most practices, it can run aground from time to time. We need space to come back to it, to learn new techniques, to deepen our skills; we need a refuge from all the wrong-headedness and fear and greed, where we can safely regroup. That’s what this work/shop is about.
