@lydiaconwell@todon.nl I’m British (well, and a portion Mauritian) but we moved out to Papua New Guinea in the Christmas of 1975 because my dad got a gig teaching jewellery and art metalwork in PNG - they had a huge influx of expats all at once. I was there in 76 but they ran out of school for me so I went down to Melbourne and lived with relations for a while doing fifth form school and misbehaved for the following year pretending to go to tech college to do electronics but didn’t actually go because they had maths there. Came back home to UK in 1980 and went to art college and all was correct again. #TOTP
