Today would have been Chris Marker's 105th birthday. He is one of my favorite filmmakers, and he made two masterpieces: La Jetée (1962) and Sans Soleil (1983), which is one of my favorite films. He was born on July 29, 1921 and died 91 years later on July 29, 2012.
