Welp, now to search the entire house for the $49 Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter I already got.

I found the dongle. This 256GB machine with a 2TB external drive is a complete nightmare.

@maxfenton@mas.to I got one of those and when I finally tracked down the FireWire dongle Apple announced they dropped support for it in Tahoe… Didn’t have reliable results with DV capture so when or if I upgrade it’s not a big loss. My old PC now running Linux does tackle this problem rather well with dvgrab. So I wonder if I should just sell those dongles… On the other hand I like a bit of somewhat obscure tech.
