@iro_miya@mk.absturztau.be i still dont get how anarchy can realistically keep corporate entities in check. almost all that anarchists say makes a lot of sense, but none could explain to me how we keep assholes from going corpo without some kind of authority /gen inquiry

    @June@mastodon.catgirl.cloud Hmmm, I think different people have different ideas on how we could achieve this, this is my approach but I'm not sure how standard this is. Personally I think that cooperatives would be a great model for corporate entities under anarchy. Workers—or the general public—have a say in the practices of companies and can impose rules for them to follow. What would prevent someone from making a private company? Societal expectations I think. If everything is expected to be worker owned, someone deciding to build a private structure would immediately seem like an asshole that people wouldn't wanna support. That's the thing, bosses only have power because people think they do. If we don't allow them to have authority, then they wont be able to gain it. Under an anarchist society, a hierarchy in authority would just seem like a really dumb concept. "Yeah and who put you in charge?"
