Sticking with Grenfell, Reform's former housing minister Simon Dudley used the deaths there to argue that "everyone dies in the end", and that housing safety regulation brought in to make sure buildings didn't go up like a tinderbox and were safe for human habitation, had gone too far and were hindering house builders.
He was defended vociferously online, right up until the point that Nigel Farage announced he was sacked. Everyone then towed the line about how he was a Richard Tice appointment.

We've just had the MP Rupert Lowe downplay the horrific tragedy of the Dunblane school shooting to suggest that Britain overreacted to "one murder" with a gun, rather than implement gun control after the worst mass shooting in the history of this country. Because Lowe was upset that his father wasn't able to keep his pistols for sport shooting. A position he's not alone in. Former Crime Minister BoJo the Clown also did this, where he compared the handgun ban to "nanny taking away the toys".
