Second is that no motive has been established, and the police are clear that they are still investigating that. Meaning they aren't certain why he allegedly carried out the attack, but are pretty confident they have enough evidence that he did it.

It is not only pointless to speculate, as we have none of the evidence that the police will have. But also foolish, as it could jeopardise Kerry's right to a fair trial. The chief crown prosecutor of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)'s special crime and counter terrorism division said: "Our prosecutors have worked closely with the police to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court, and we will continue working with them as their investigation progresses."
