    @VintageEdmonton@mstdn.ca I wasn't there for that event (although I remember the tornado well enough), but I was for a similar one in 2012. It was a perfectly clear day. Then there was a few clouds on the horizon. Then we got the order to evacuate, which seemed strange. As we walked to the parking lot, the storm clouds rolled in so fast you could see them (I took a picture of the sky half clear and half covered). It started raining hard before we got to the parking lot, enough that everyone was running. By the time we got there, it was already hailing. I don't remember seeing a storm arrive that quickly. I don't know if there was any damage to the festival, but I'm sure that they didn't have time to properly pack things up or hold them down at the very least.
