@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange It's terrible to see. I feel sad for all the potential juniors and (future) seniors, and for those already in it getting the short end of the stick. I'm only still in the industry for the love of the game. I love what I'm doing and I'm infinitely thankful to be able to do it as a job. That's the only reason I content myself with shit pay, terrible hours, enforced "grind" and the constant need to prove myself just to keep my job. And I feel like employers know this, that the people in the industry love their job, so they don't have to give them any benefits. Add the overcrowded job market and it makes things even worse. I think you put it rather well. I hope that things might be better some day, but I don't know if that hope is not unfounded.
