Convenience and privilege can be taken away on a whim. Freedom takes decades of making humans become hopeless, apathetic, convenience- and privilege-loving "people". No longer humans; just people. A statistic without empathy, hope, or freedom. Make life so convenient that anything that is inconvenient or takes more time, learning, thinking, patience, empathy is written off as bad, backward, criminal, tedious, "too techie". Convenience (and privilege): the slow-creeping death of freedom.
