Amelia's Music Picks: Don't forget the list of weekly summer music series I posted last month. And check out YEGinsider for comprehensive listings (or Taproot, but it's a bit buggy, or Double Lunch but it's totally broken. Move faster & break more things, the vibe coding way!). Friday, July 31: Sweet-voiced indie-pop from Erin Dunn at the Carrot. 7pm, $10 (kids $5). Mellow alt-rock, psychedelic grooves, and arena-worthy folk contemplations from Mya Hill Band, Second Mirror, and Mutton Wolf (AKA Keltie Monaghan) at Starlite Room's Temple stage. It's allegedly Katie's birthday party, but you don't need to know Katie to go. 7pm (doors?), $18. Fun poppy R&B & funk from Funkafeelya at The Commercial. 9:30pm, $9, 18+.
