This is a well researched subject, plenty of studies have come up with that conclusion, it’s called the “gender fear paradox” physical assault was more prevalent among men (3.7%) than women (2.6%) www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/…/dq260331b-eng.htm They mostly explain it by the fact that men take more risks and go at sketchy places alone that women tend to avoid
