The belt seems to be in good shape.
On the drive wheel there's a strobe pattern. I believe the idea is that a 60Hz or 50Hz strobe will "freeze" one of the corresponding patterns in place, so you can perform adjustments without specialized equipment.

One immediate problem with recording audio of this drive - the drive latch is creaky as shit. It almost certainly did not sound this terrible new. That will need to be lubricated.
