Finland is a country where, if you are unemployed, should you...
- Make or practice playing music
- Make adult entertainment
- Stream video games
- Knit, crochet, etc
- Have hobbies in general
...your benefits can be slashed to zero, as the state agency for those benefits deems you an entrepreneur
No, it doesn't matter if you make a cent. Should you play a song to some old folks for free, that's enough for the state to deny you of any and all money.
Nordic model my ass

@miiamustang@eliitin-some.fi in Sweden you can potentially, maybe get an exception for this, but it requires individual assessment of your particular hobby, so I would assume probably not.. Same with sick leave actually! Then they give you benefits that the rent of a small, old apartment eats more than half of.. Oh, you made €2 selling knitted socks? Yeah you're gonna need to declare that or we'll bankrupt you with fines! Hope you saved all the receipts for the yarn you bought 12 years ago and finally used! Glhf! :neocat_thumbsup:
