Capitalism is not synonymous with loving billionaires. And socialism is not synonymous with loving the poor, or with hating billionaires. That's not what those terms mean. Capitalism doesn't even mean, "Pushing for unbridled profit in the next quarter no matter what happens in the future!" That doesn't have anything to do with the definition of capitalism. And--one must remember--this normalization of pushing for bigger and faster profits sprang from people who fully believe they're in a race

    to the end of the world. They think it's go time--"Get all the profit you can right now, because that will determine who runs the world." That's what this group of fucking weirdos is into. They don't define what "private ownership" means. They define what hysterical paranoia and hoarding mean. Capitalism is a decentralized government and private ownership. That's what it means. That can look a lot of ways. But capitalists are kind of specifically not fascists, because fascism is centralized.
