Content warnings are not censorship the same way allergen labeling isn't a ban on allergens in food.
You can freely post about politics, sex, lived experiences, trans joy and all the things people might ask you to CW, just like it's perfectly legal to have shrimps, peanuts, gluten, nuts, lactose and soy in food.
You just need to declare what's inside so people who can't handle it can choose to stay away.
Regarding the "Just use filters" argument:
Transphobia triggers me hard, especially the government enforced kind, often to the point where I get suicidal thoughts.
If my only option were filters, I would have to filter a lot of terms that could possibly be in a post about transphobia. Many variations of the same base term separately (for example transphobia, transphobic, transphobe, transmisia…), and terms that can be associated with transphobia related stuff even if they also can occur in posts about pro-trans news or unrelated things (for example "puberty blockers" in something like "puberty blockers are legal again in the UK").
Also how hard it'll trigger me depends on my current mood. If I'm feeling alright, I can usually handle a post about transphobia. If I'm already spiraling and close to suicidal thoughts, the exact same post will likely be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
And even when I can handle the post, a content warning allows me to mentally prepare better for it.
We don't want content warnings only to avoid topics entirely, they can help people to mentally prepare and make decisions depending on their current mental state.
Also I try to be considerate to my own followers and add CWs to posts I want to boost but lack a proper CW, but it's annoying to do that every time, especially because I also need to copy and paste the link to work around the incompatibility between Mastodon's and Akkoma's quote system (Mastodon quoting has an approval system that Akkoma and Misskey don't support because they implemented quotes way earlier).
TLDR: CW your shit.
