Apparently left-handed people can't use a fountain pen as the left hand smudges the ink as they write. I call bullshit on that.

@kev@fosstodon.org My dad was an avid left hand fountain pen user. He had the most amazing writing, smudge free too! He taught me how to write smudge free (mostly smudge free) at an early age. All about the angle for him… and now for me, though my writing hand is now sorely out of practice.
