Someone has just tried to claim that the r-word (pardon the rather childish language) is 'less bad' here and not considered a slur after I called him out on using it last night and after he doubled down despite me asking him not to as I've a sister with Downs.
Is this true? is it considered less harsh here or is he trying to shirk culpability for upsetting me?

@LeatherBoyDavid@woof.group There are so many other words to choose from to describe someone you disrespect. When disrespect is the intent, people will get caught in the crossfire.
