@the5thColumnist@ottawa.place A swimming instructor hired by our elementary school threw me into the deep end of the pool, then had to rescue me. Apparently I excelled at gulping water as I sank to the pool bottom of the pool and obviously I don't learn anything "the hard way". Thank gawd they aren't allowed to do that anymore ! Later in life I took lifeguard training.
