Because I only have one PCIe power cable, I'm doing something slightly cursed: I'm putting the "wrong" end of the P8 connector I have into the other PCIe power slot to get power out of that.
Because the colour coding on this connector doesn't match the PCIe connector though (and the cable is sleeved so I can't see what connects to which pin), I had to test each pin manually to see if it's live or ground.

Seems like my soldering iron has a malfunction... It doesn't get hot enough :/ I was hoping to make some progress today, but seems like I have to send this thing back 6/?
