@dtl@8bitorbust.info Tesco's self-service tills used to have an on-screen volume button, which would toggle between VERY LOUD, Loud, Bearable and (gloriously) completely off. Always used to tap that until I got the desired setting before doing anything else. Sadly they had a UI update many years ago and that customer-friendly option was obviously one of the features that was ditched.
