First of all, it is impossible to protect a country as large as Russia from air strikes across its entire territory.
And even if the war criminals in the Kremlin could do so, they wouldn’t, since they are completely indifferent to the people.
The air defense systems not yet destroyed by Ukraine are needed in St. Petersburg and Moscow to reassure the elites; otherwise, they are used to protect military installations, the front lines, and, of course, Putin’s palaces.

@Gehtso@social.tchncs.de Russia's land mass is gigantic, yes, but the Wildberries warehouses being targeted are in highly populated urban centers, which should enjoy more protection than the unpopulated areas of the nation. The latest Wildberries target was in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second-largest city.
